Paramedic-to-RN 招生 Criteria

1. Applicants must be TSI compliant. View TSI placement and exceptions 在这里.
2. Achieve at least a “C” in all prerequisite and co-requisite courses and must have at least a 2.5 overall GPA in all prerequisite and co-requisite courses to enter the program (Note: Most students admitted have above a 3.0 GPA).
3. Complete or in progress prerequisites at the time of application and as many of the academic co-requisite courses as possible. Co-requisites are not required to apply but will result in a higher-ranking score, if some/all are complete at time of application. Applicants must supply final grades to the ADN Program Office, only if taking courses elsew在这里. All science courses (Anatomy & Physiology 1, Anatomy & Physiology 2, Microbiology) cannot be older than five years at the time of application.
4. Complete pre-admission ATI TEAS with an overall Academic Preparedness Level of Proficient or above. Applicant is ineligible for admission if Academic Preparedness Level is Basic or Developmental. ATI TEAS must be completed prior to applying to ADN program, and ATI TEAS score sheet must be included in ADN application packet. TEAS scores cannot be older than one year at the time of application.
5. Students who are applying to the Associate Degree Nursing Program (Paramedic-to-RN-Transition Option) must have a current unencumbered Texas Department of Health EMT Paramedic Certification OR current unencumbered Texas Department of Health Paramedic Licensure and must have approximately one year of paramedic experience.
6. Students whose first/native language is not English (ESL), are required to take the TOEFL iBT Test, regardless of US education, or years of residence. The ADN Program requires ESL applicants to attain a 最低 score of 89 on the Internet based test (iBT), with a 最低 of 21 in reading, 21 .书面, 26 .说话, 听力21分. TOEFL results will not be considered if they are more than two years old when nursing application is submitted.
